From learning the alphabet
to writing research papers, from stacking blocks to competing in science
fairs, from learning about the neighborhood to learning about the
world, and from counting on fingers to solving equations, students
at Woodholme Elementary School gain the skills on which to build
their future.
Woodholme Elementary serves families
in the growing communities of Pikesville, Randallstown, and Owings Mills. The state-of-the-art,
comprehensive elementary school boasts a unique combination of instruction-based
programs and community partnerships that greatly enhances learning.
Like other BCPS elementary
schools, Woodholme teaches students following a rigorous curriculum
that addresses reading and language arts, mathematics, science, social
studies, health, physical education, art, and instrumental and vocal
music.
What
Makes Woodholme Unique
Woodholme takes full advantage of the latest technology in a modern,
comfortable, and academically-centered learning environment that reflects
Baltimore County Public Schools’ emphasis on science and math instruction.
Exciting relationships with area institutions, such as the NASA Goddard
Space Flight Center, further enrich students’ learning experiences,
giving them opportunities to interact with professional scientists
and engineers.
