Math Facts Practice

Once students understand the meaning behind addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, it is important that basic facts can be recalled quickly and accurately on facts tests and when applied to classwork, homework, and assements.

Students should practice and study basic math facts at home such as they practice and study spelling words and vocabulary.  Students in grades 3-5 are considered proficient with basic facts when he/she can accurately compute 100 facts with an accuracy rate of 95% or higher in 5 minutes (paper and pencil test) or less or 6 minutes (computerized test) or less.
